  • Water – 100 Milliliters (warm)
  • Yeast – 7 grams (dry)
  • Sugar – 2 Tbsp (for dough)
  • Eggs – 2 Units
  • Butter – 70 grams (melted)
  • Milk – 70 Milliliters
  • Salt – 1 pinch
  • Flour – 450 grams
  • Sugar – 1/2 Cup (for sprinkles)
  • Butter – 60 grams (melted, to grease the buns)

How to Make “Heart Buns with Sugar”

So, first we add yeast and sugar (2 tbsp) to the warm water. Mix everything, cover with a towel and leave until the yeast starts to work. In a separate container mix the eggs and milk, add melted butter (70 grams) and a little salt. Let’s mix everything. Then add the yeast mass to the egg mass. Dump in the flour and knead the dough. Leave it to stand for half an hour to rise.

Before we start making the future buns, we knead the dough one more time. Then divide it into small pieces (I got 8), roll it out. Grease each piece with melted butter and sprinkle with sugar.

Preferably a little extra sugar around the edges, otherwise the dough may not hold together well. Wrap a cake sprinkled with sugar into a roll, pinch the edges of the dough.

Fold the roll in half and join the edges together.
